Trailer plug short

I store the cord in the 5th wheel hitch. Today I inadvertently touched the center contact and a recessed contact on the hitch which resulted in a short. now my battery meter is showing 13.4 vs 13.9 would I have damaged anything?

If it was brief it probably didn't hurt anything - if everything is still working then you should be OK. If anything is not working, look for a blown fuse.

An inexpensive plastic cap that goes on the 7 pin connector when it gets unplugged is a good way to prevent that from happening, as well as keeping out moisture etc. from the connector when it is in storage: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
