I add a RhinoFLEX 45-Degree Sewer Hose Swivel Fitting to the hose and have no difficulty connecting and disconnecting the hose. The fitting also helps you to visualize sewer water stopping draining. There is room in the sewer hose holding tube for this extra part.

As long as you don't forget later on and use the Chap Stick on your lips...

Here's a handy gizmo I've used in the past. Similar to the clear sleeve someone mentioned, but it adds a valve and a hose fitting to enable backflushing the tank to clean it. https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/Fl.../F02-4350.html

I'm reminded of a joke I read one time. A young girl was getting married. Her mother gave her a jar of Vaseline and said, "Here, honey, be sure to use some of this before bedtime; it'll help." The girl packed it away gratefully in her suitcase. After the honeymoon she came bawling to her mother, "Oh, it was so horrible! So painful!" The mother said, "Didn't you remember the Vaseline?" "Yes," the new bride responded, "but that just made him not want to kiss me!"

Had a gizmo like that for my 17 and yes it worked wonderfully.
No use for it on my 21.Different plumbing lines, the backflush would not reach the tank, just a little bit up the pipe.

Got the "Handy Gizmo" in my stack of stuff. I head out of here in 4 weeks and 2 days headed ultimately to Chilliwack. I pick up my brother in Nashville then head to Sand Springs to visit where our father grew up. That joke was tacky

Yup!

Did this to the clear extender as well as the Rhino fitting, since I absolutely did NOT want to break the pegs off of the trailer's brittle-looking fitting - then would have a real problem on my hands (and on the ground too). Just don't remove too much material because then the seal won't compress and seal well.
Yup again!

Enjoy,

Enjoy,

It’s working just fine for us so far.
Nothing wrong with them, folks just wanted a more heavy duty set up.

As long as you don't forget later on and use the flush hose for your drinking water.

My drinking water hose is white. Sewer rinse hose is an old green garden hose, cut down to 15-20'.
