Umbilical Cord Junction Box

Reworked Umbilical Cord Junction Box ring terminals with marine grade terminals . If you have not checked yours you should, 14 terminals had insulated wire in crimp with wire just bent back
Thanks TDF for bringing this up

Well done.

I just replaced my poorly crimped (ETI) battery-to-inverter 4 gauge cable with new 2 gauge cable with good solid factory ends to eliminate issues with inverter low voltage alarm when using the microwave.

Reace had diagnosed a poor crimp two years ago and firmed it up somewhat, and a particular Iowa native with a firm grip had helped with another re-crimp last year.

Now all is well with the new set. It's about a foot longer, but I think it'll be fine to get factory ends.

Well done. Did you use crimp heat shrink or solder heat shrink terminals ?

I looked at mine and found the same issue - crimps on insulation. Has anyone contacted ETI about this?

Great looking job! You shouldn't have to worry about those terminations ever again.

I know it's been discussed, where is the box on an old style 21' with foam insulation?

It may be under the bed near the front.

If your's looks like John's, you might want to install one of these. On most of the trailers, it is mounted on the frame rail right before the wiring enters the trailer.

Thanks all, I used marine grade crimp heat shrink with adhesive worked great.
practice on old wire first and stay away from wire insulation, good luck.
