So I find the Viair very convenient. I threw my cheapo away after my first use of the Viair.
Carl,
Which model compressor to you have? I have an old B&D power pack with a compressor and it gets too hot to put 65 lbs into my Maxsis load range E's.

Dick, you can give Viair a call if you want and they will suggest the most appropriate unit for the tires in question. I went with the 700P due to the size of the trucks tires.

Dick, I have the 400-PA. It must be clamped directly to a 12v battery due to its power need (30 amps maximum draw) but it will inflate a tire rapidly. Max PSI is 145, and puts out 2.54 CFM at 0 PSI, obviously going down as pressure in the inflated object rises. A bit pricey, but I am so satisfied with it I would have no qualms with buying another if this one ever failed.
