Is there an alternative that is an exact fit?

🤔 think if it was me I’d install the new lights and see how they work. There may very well have been a defective batch of lights and that whatever the issue was has been repaired. Try them, what have you got to loose?

I plan on installing the fixtures Escape sent me . The existing fixtures strobe so badly that they make it difficult to see . From what I have been led to believe , when Escape discontinued the use of the problem fixtures , they kept the extra stock on hand for replacements . The problem is not going away but only kicked down the road .

Who would lead you to believe that?

This is not a new issue and has been discussed on the forum before. But you knew that since you are in the thread discussing the problem so I have to assume that you were being facetious.

Short Version:
The LED fixtures that Escape installed in the 2017-18 period cannot handle voltages over 12v per the manufacturer. Since our trailers are usually over 12v, they fail. It's just a matter of time.
Either replace them with better lights or install voltage regulators.

That "short version" is a fair summary.
Escape installed lights that according to the manufacturer can't take anything over 12 volts. A bit over 12 volts is common in all Escapes - all RVs for that matter. If the failure of the lights can be directly linked to voltages slightly over 12 volts, then it's my personal opinion that Escape should cover the replacement within the standard 2 year warranty period.
That may be looked upon as slamming Escape, but it's not. And despite this issue, it doesn't change my opinion that Reace is one of the fairest and most decent businessmen I've ever dealt with. I just happen to disagree with their stance in this case. YMMV.

It’s a shame that a statement like this has to be made but unfortunately it is a fact of life

Although I got a similar reply, they did send replacements, now up to 5 lights. I did point out that several owners are having the same issue, and that the lights are defective or not suited for the 12-15 volt range of power encountered.

I called about my flashing dome light and got the not covered by Escape. I ordered these lights from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N11JXFU/I was going to just replace the element, but these lights look like they changed the element. Hopefully better.
