Water heater problem

Good day all
Tried a search with no luck...but will admit to not being very savvy with this stuff

Had our first extended outing on our Escape. And we love it!!!
A few bugs along the way.... mostly with the fridge which has been resolved.

This time after working great for two days on propane the water heater quit.
I pulled the igniter spark and held the wire close to ground and the spark was VERY weak...could barely tell there was a spark coming off of it.
I was able to get the propane to light using a flicker but the heater would not stay lit
Would welcome your thoughts
Thank you

Here's a checklist from a water heater T-shooting page, I'd check for lose connections to start. Yours is new so you can discount some of it.

Problem - No sparks on electrodes

  • Secure electrodes to the main burner if it is loosely attached.
  • Re-position the electrode to get the proper gap.
  • Clean dirty electrodes.
  • Secure wire connection on the circuit board if it is loose.
  • Replace the electrode if the insulation is cracked or wire inside is loose.
  • Replace the circuit board if it is defective.

A bunch of us had a bad bunch of electronic starters on the water heaters in the '17.
You just need to call ETI on how to do warranty replacement
