Well that sucks : 2510 Fridge
Fridge has been working for eight years, going on nine, but I figured I should get it serviced.
Didn't want to take it in so I had them come to me. Problem is, after service, the igniter no longer works. It took a bit of fiddling with the gas/electric knob before, but now it's dead.
Apparently I have to take it into the shop and they have to pull the fridge to fix corrosion of the igniter wire.
I'm not really a happy camper now.

Well that will teach you to not have it serviced! They just came out and broke it so you'd have to bring it in.

Well the switch was intermittent before the service.
So, speaking of Dometic parts prices, new switch alone is $230 ( at least you can still get it ). Plus labour to pull the fridge.
Part of the problem may be stupid Dometic design that placed the panel with the switches just below the door, so when a bottle of juice leaked, it ran out the door and into the switches, which are not protected.

My neighbor just did the same thing with his van. His was 20 plus years old. $1500 later he now has a shiny new fridge. Count yourself lucky.

You can pull a 21 with a RAV4. But you might not be able to stop it. Keep calm and
Carry on.
