Cleaning stains off awning

After returning from the Mississippi River Rally I noticed lots of bug and leaf stains on our wet awning. Rather than use bleach I decided to try my Norwex utility cloth. I just wet the cloth, squeezed out the excess water and wiped away the dirt and stains. No scrubbing or harsh chemicals needed. It worked like a charm. Our awning looks like new. If you've never tried Norwex you owe it to yourself to give it a try! P.S. I'm not a dealer, I just drink the Kool-Aid.

we use ours constantly, only not unfurling if it's a short stay (overnight @ Wally World) or beautiful and no shade protection needed. The material gets wet, so what? It's not going to hurt it. We sometimes roll it up wet and full of tree debris. Just remember to clean it when you can. A light brushing with some solution options mentioned above and you are G2G.

I've had very good luck cleaning ours, and our Sunsetter awning on our house and deck umbrellas with Oxi-Clean. It's somewhat less reactive that bleach, but does kill mold and mildew and cleans well for us. I use it on our deck too before a staining. Seems to be pretty good general purpose outdoor cleaner.
