I have a Q1200 and I looked on the Weber website and they list the specs as: 14.5"H x 27"W x 16.5"D (lid closed). That being said the lid could be easily removed and set up to reinstall easily with hairpin clips on the pins.

Ooooo, that's a neat trick. There sure is a lot more room inside that there is with the hatch opening. I often wonder why some of the other hatch doors are as small as they are.

You could easily make up for any time loss by having a "quick connect" installed.

We put ours on a boot tray in case any grease does happen to drip while stored. Did smell a little like teriyaki chicken in there last time I went in there.

I think we will go with the Q1200! Thank you all for the great thread and forum responses.

Great thread. Thanks to Honair for starting it. I have also decided to replace our Coleman for a Weber Q1200.

After lots of research, I went with the Napoleon TravelQ Pro. I like that it is cast aluminum so it holds the heat steady for slow cooking. And with two burners I can also use it for indirect cooking.
In fact, I like it so much it is now set up outside our kitchen door. We have a large Webber Spirit on our main deck, but with the stay and home orders, it is too much trouble to fire up the big grill for just the two of us. Grilled perfect burgers on the TravelQ just last night.
It is easy to swap out the hose with regulator attached for the 15' long hose (sans regulator) that connects to our quick disconnect on the trailer while traveling.
Edit: and no, I don't take the B&D work station camping. The grill is normally used on a picnic table or the truck's tailgate.
