I am 81years old, I tell you this to set the scene. I was raised in the North west Territories of Canada, at a village called Ft, Rae, with the Tlicho natives, in 1951.
The Consevation officer had black barren ground wolf.
When he would go on patrol for a few weeks at a time, I would take the wolf home and look after her for him.
One of my sled dogs got along good with her, we all used to chase each other around the yard.
Nicest animal I ever had.
