What's this chrome thing?
Any idea what this chrome thing is? I found it somewhere in the trailer, I think under one of the storage bins

Re: What's this chrome thing?
Is this a puzzle challenge. It appears to be a cover of something. Any more clues.

Re: What's this chrome thing?
That option wasn't on the list when we ordered our 19...

that's what I'd call it too! Probably dropped out of the pocket of some homeless man who was staying in your trailer overnight.

Re: What's this chrome thing?
I really have no idea whatsoever what this thing actually is. Thank you all for the confirmation that I won't be discarding some critical Escape component and I'll not be able to unlock my sink drains or tie down my jumbucks if I don't keep it handy at all times.
It's actually a bit posh as chrome things go... Maybe I'll find a use for it!
Regards,
Matt

Re: What's this chrome thing?
I have to agree with Reace. At first I thought it was a dongle, but then was pretty sure it was either a widget or a blivet. After careful consideration, I think Reace is right.

Re: What's this chrome thing?
Could it be a dewhinkapivis used in the bottling of codswallup...invented by Hiram Codd in the 1870's ?? Could be valuable.

Re: What's this chrome thing?
When we took our VW in for warranty service, we received a loaner. In the glove carpartment of the loaner was a trigger lock for a gun. When I turned it in, the guy said, "Hey, Joe, here is your trigger lock!"
Turned out one of the mechanics misplaced it. This may be the same situation.

Re: What's this chrome thing?
I just thought: does it have a part number on it anywhere? You could run the number through a Google search. Might find it.

Re: What's this chrome thing?
Despite the fun of creating new words to describe the thing-a-ma-jigger, it looks from the picture like:
wait for it.................
The lid for a stove top kettle (the whistling kind - Walmart $12.99)
