I have a question for someone with the inverter, transfer switch and remote. When the inverter is turned on with the remote switch , is the transfer switch function automatic, or does something have to be manualy switched @ the switch assembly?

I don't have them yet, but I am familiar with them. The automatic transfer switch is just that -- it senses the power coming in and automatically switches. Doesn't matter if you turn on the inverter at the unit itself or the remote panel.

The inverter switch was in the "off" position when I received the trailer from the ETI. Should it be kept in the "on" position if I want to use the remote control to operate the inverter. Thanks.

I have the installed by escape inverter with remote panel. The inverter is off at the switch on the inverter and can be turned on and off by the remote panel. That's how mine works anyway.
I don't have the transfer switch, just 2 plugs wired for the inverter so can't answer the transfer switch question.

I have the ETI-installed inverter, remote, and xfer switch. ETI currently (bad pun - sorry) puts all the 110V outlets (except the fridge) on the xfer switch if you get it.

Just turn the inverter on (remote is the easy way) and after a 1-2 minute delay the outlets all switch. It can be done (safely - no negative consequences) while you are hooked up. Turn it off and the outlets switch back immediately with no delay.
