Width under classic 19 bed

Thinking of storing a folding ladder under the bed in a classic 19 through the hatch. Our trailer is stored hundreds of miles from us, so measuring ours is difficult at best. Can anyone take a tape measure and measure the distance side to side?

Might be a tough squeeze.

I was thinking of one of those telesteps either 6 foot or 5 foot.

Ah. That'll work better than mine, for sure.

You have about 80 inches of interior width under the bed, so a six foot ladder would fit, being careful to avoid the hot water tank, pump, and assorted hoses on the driver side. I carry the six foot version of that ladder in my Tundra, strapped up and out of the way.

Both would be OK.

The hot water tank is straight across from the front of the hatch. Straight across from the rear of the hatch is about 6'-4'' and if measured at an angle could put something up to about 6'-8" in diagonally.

I only have a five foot bed on my truck, so it looks like a 6 foot for under the bed of the trailer is the way to go unless I want to store it in a tube under the trailer.

I don't know what diameter of pipe is required for the ladder but if it fits in a 4" PVC pipe then an alternative is between the spare tire and back wall of the trailer and sitting on the bumper supports. My tube is 6'-1" inside.

I keep a 6’ ladder underneath by the waste tube.
