We are newbies to RVing, have a 3 mo old Escape 17B & want to attend GEH Rally in Gunter Hill, AL.

When I go to the Reserve America Site it shows availability on Sat 3/17 & Sunday 3/18 but not on Wed Thu & Fri. I see that there are some Walk in & Walk up Sites available for all the Rally Dates.
Please help me understand what are these Walk in & Walk up Sites ?, do I take my chances by showing up there & hope I get to camp there for the Rally ?
Will it be better to just reserve the Sat 3/17& Sun 3/18 now & change camp sites there ?

As I am new to this & obviously missed reserving earlier can you suggest what can one do ? Any chances realistically ?
