Several reasons, I did not want to lose the use of the truck bed for storage an there is/was always the hitch set up for 5.0 having to be installed professionally. I had a 21 before and it was a known given, the 5.0 also has those 3 steps, I'm in my 70's and doing steps at night is something I avoid. Also the bed is warmer in 21 than the 5.0, closer to the heater and only 2 exterior walls whereas the loft has the floor, 3 walls and the roof is a lot closer, seems to me it would be colder and we camp year round.

I just noticed your post you left me. You may be better off contacting ETI and viewing a 21 in the area. There is a nice one in Ashland City and one in Chattanooga. You are welcome to view ours but the 21 is a lot differant and you are going to want to see one.
