Need 21 radio in the dinette area pic
Anyone have one? Build sheet due Friday and we're thinking about an under cabinet mount in the dinette area - probably tucked up either against the fridge wall or the stove wall.

I decided to go with wireless bluetooth speakers that I can move around my 19 as needed. With so many things going wireless, it seems the best route and easier to upgrade too.

Sometimes I use a Bose sound system I bought at an Apple store. Works great. Runs on internal battery, or 120V power. Bose | SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® speaker | Bluetooth® Speakers There are so many wireless options for music, backup cameras, TV and many others. Wires are going the way of the 20th century. Out. :) |
I've got the Bose too but my ipod is still old school so I have to connect it. I'd like to find something mobile, like the Ipods, that has bluetooth and both AM and FM, last I knew the Ipods are just FM.

I've got an iPod Nano somewhere. It's supposed to run for about 24 hours between charges. I'm lucky if I get five hours listening to FM radio.
So, for AM/FM I use a Sony SRF-S84 and an ear bud. I can plug it into my JBL bluetooth speaker. It runs for ages on one AAA battery. |
I spent quite a lot of time last year when I was preparing my build sheet worrying about which radio and speakers to get, and whether to have Escape install them or to do it myself.
We ended up providing a radio and speakers to Reace for Escape to install, and they did a great job, including an antenna that was built into the wall of the trailer. The radio we bought has a Weatherband channel and is also capable of broadcasting to a remote speaker (or headset) via bluetooth (we use a Bose portable speaker). We had one pair of flush mounted speakers installed in the rear sleeping area and a second pair of under cabinet mounted speakers installed in the front dinette area. After using our trailer for the first year, we found that we spend so little time indoors that we have only used the radio a few times. I am happy with my choices, but now consider the radio and speakers to be a much less important issue than it appeared to be during the build. |
Like ice-breaker, I provided the system for ETI to install and am extremely pleased with my choice. Regarding the pics that tractors1 is asking for, I know someone posted a pic of under-cabinet speakers on this forum, but I cannot find them.

ice-breaker brings up a good point in that most times we spend little time in the camper. The Bose, or other portable bluetooth speaker can be moved outside to enjoy the tunes at a respectable volume. Hey, when camping, we're portable. :)
