When the Maxxfan is operating in the blow-out mode, I've found that opening the window slightly in the kitchen creates a nice breeze through the Escape. Sort of acts like an exhaust fan.

I wasn't clear enough in my post. We use the microwave location only to STORE the toaster oven--a handy spot for it. We don't cook with it at that location for the reasons you state.

We like the opening window in the kitchen area of our 15B. With the Maxxfan on, there's a nice breeze from the window up through the overhead fan. It carries any cooking odors to the outside.
