I am not aware of any transfer switch. I looked and could not see anything like that. On my last Escape the inverter just worked without having to switch anything.
A mystery, but should be simple...

Nothing regarding an inverter on the manual. I agree that maybe there is a switch somewhere, but do not recall this problem when I had my Escape 21.
