We do! But I also shimmed to tighten the latch, after the door opened and spilled contents some years ago. The door seems to have remained latched enroute since, though the bungee might be helping....

Our 2011 4Runner - 17B combo has been fine for us in Idaho. 3rd gear required on steeper grades in higher elevations, easily moving along at 3000+ rpm and around 50 mph.

1 UP super duty are rated for 50-75 lbs per bike spot (max 225 for the rack), and ours is built like a tank. Seems like size might be your only issue.
