Thanks for all the good feedback. The axle is probably fine, but I'll keep an eye on the tire wear. The shop knows about the issue and will be changing/updating their employee training.

Ah! I don't know how ice cream or other frozen goodies would fare. We've removed the freezer in order to maximize space in the fridge. That way there's more room for beer. :whistling:

Yep, it works great. Yes, it's a 3-way unit. The fridge has to be cold when you start driving, however. I wouldn't recommend putting cold food in a warm fridge and then heading out on the highway.

We turn off the propane while traveling. It's much easier than turning it off before every gas station or tunnel. And we find that the batteries handle it OK.

We follow the Escape manual rule and turn off the propane while traveling. The batteries handle cooling the fridge just fine. Make sure your fridge is cold before you start though.

We use a Turtle Wax product called Zip Wax when washing after each trip. It contains carnauba wax, which is key (according to ETI). This keeps the gelcoat looking good between twice-yearly waxes.

A hatchet is great too. It'll handle trimming firewood and -- though perhaps not as efficient as a saw -- lopping through the occasional fallen tree across the road.
