Same thing happened to me. The lift mechanism on my manual Maxxfan failed and shatted with no known cause, apparently while the trailer was in storage. See attached picture.

Ordered a new one...

I had one of these on my Casita for many years and loved it. Unfortunately when the Casita was sold I sent the clothesline rack along with it thinking that it wouldn't work with the smaller bumper...
