Dave,
Look inside your front driver side access door with the front leg controls. If your 2008 is built like my 2012 you will find the water supply line to the Thetford toilet making a U-turn....

On my Escape, I cut in a water shutoff valve just in case I develop a problem while out traveling. Our friends had a Thetford flush valve failure which caused them undue grief while camping with us.
