2020 Nissan Frontier sv 4x4

I made a post about towing an escape 19 with this vehicle. How would my vehicle do with a 21?

You can probably do it. My older Frontier towed my Scamp 19 all over the country but it worked pretty hard(high RPMs under load) doing it and the engine came to an early demise. I have the 4.6 l v 8 in my tundra and it works much less hard towing my 5.0 TA and actually gets similar mileage.

Hi: Peppergirl... Here's a pic of our 2010 Fronty hooked to our 5.0TA. It towed both our Escape 5.0's and ran with minor trouble over 100,000 miles. Hi revving, but great tug!!! Alf

We towed a 21 with our Frontier 2 wheel drive with no problems. We picked it up from Escape in June and drove back to Texas, taking over 2 months to do so. It did fine in the mountains. Of course, it slowed on the mountain passes, but we were not slower than the 18 wheelers. We use a Husky weight distribution hitch.
We have since sold the Frontier and bought a RAM 1500 4X4 crew cab. The only reason that we did this was for the additional cargo capacity of the RAM. Going full-time in the Escape meant that we just needed more room for stuff.

We have 2020 Frontier Pro4X and are buying a 19 ' Escape. We are trying to decide if we should go with one of the 2 Equalizier Hitches or the E2 Fastway Wt Distribution Hitch. We used just a sway bar on our 17' Casita. We would appreciate input.

We also have a pro4x (2019) and will pick up e19 in early May. After lots of discussion with other frontier owners we decided on the e2 fastway wdh...

The 2020 Frontier has the 3.8L 310 HP V6 with nine speed transmission. Bet it will make a fine TV.

I owned a 2009 frontier. At the time we had a Jayco hybrid that it towed just fine, like others have said high RPM. There is one thing I didn't see mentioned. We live near San Antonio and often would go out West I-10 to get North. There is a long stretch without fuel stops and at 6mpg towing in the wind the small fuel tank often became a bit scary. Most of the time it was OK but you certainly have to stop for fill ups frequently. We moved to an F-150 w/ 36 gallon tank and no more worries about running out of gas!

Hi: Peppergirl... Our 2010 Nissan Frontier SE 4L V6 had around 285hp. and 261# ft. of torque w/5 spd. auto transmission. Towing at highway speeds around 60 mph ran about 2,000 rpm. Towing on fairly level terrain we averaged around 16 mpg's CDN. The pesky check engine light was an on and off affair and usually a long tug with a tank of gas laced with a can of Sea Foam took care of it. The truck never missed a beat through it all. I still liked it after a hundred and ten thousand miles but wanted more luxury in my trips. I got a lot more luxury at a major cost of my cargo capacity!!! Alf
