5th wheel vs. travel trailer for GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado

I currently drive a GMC Canyon Duramax. I am interested in real-world experience of those who have this same truck or a Colorado who have switched from a bumper pull trailer to the 5.0TA.

I currently have a Winnebago micro Minnie 2108ds and am very interested in the escape fifth wheel. I would like to know if there is or would be noticeable improvement in towing quality going from the Winnebago to the escape fifth wheel. Thanks

Am using a GMC Sierra 5.3 dbl cab to tow an 18 5.0ta. Typically 13-14 mpg, but wind can drop it to 10 or push to 20+. Love the setup and hardly notice I'm towing. (Have towed about 12k in the last year and spent 40-50 nights in the Escape.)

We really had our hearts set on the 5.0TA but decided we didnít want to give up the bed. We ordered a E19 recently because of less weight, lower profile, lower price.
2020 Escape 19 still in Chilliwack
Trailer #6 was a 2007 Escape 17B
