When cleaning out the trailer last fall I found this spray graphite that the former owner left. On reading the label, thought he might have used it on the ball to ease the "squeak". Sprays on and dries very quickly. I must admit that I have not heard noises coming from the hitch while traveling. I did notice that there was some "wear spots" on the front, back and a little on each side of the top of the ball. We'll see!
