Thanks to all that responded, all your help has been invaluable as we option out our new 21 C. I’ve had two trailers with WDH’s, both were the round bar style that cinched up with chains and both worked well when adjusted properly so I’ll probably just go with this style as I know this type works.

Seems the OP was referring to an Andersen WDH for a bumper pull trailer- not a 5th wheel. Different animal.

Thank you for beating me to it. Any hitch with an anti-sway feature would potentially work in conflict with the lane keeping system on newer vehicles. Only makes sense to disable it. I don't see that as a negative for the Andersen hitch or any other with an anti-sway system.
We've had an Andersen hitch since our delivery day when Reace installed it at the factory. Love it. Sway is non-existent. Our truck has lane keeping technology but to be honest I keep it turned off even when not towing, as I don't care for the driving experience when it's on.

We got into a few freaky sway situations with our Andersen hitch on our 24' Cougar. Each time the conveniently located F150 trailer brakes took us out of the sway situation.
Because of the sway issues the Cougar (short, but tall) was sold and the Andersen hitch went in the sale. We had a 2015 F150 and I now wonder if the F150 had the built-in sway control that should have been disconnected.
 ?

Maybe, but a tow vehicle anti sway system and a lane keeping system are two different things.

Didn't say anything about "lane keeping".
We didn't have lane keeping on our 2015 F150, nor do we lane keeping on our 2019 Lariat F150, but do have lane assist and anti-sway.

Right, but lane keeping technology was the question addressed earlier, and the concern was raised that it needed to be turned off when using an anti sway hitch. Thus, my comment.

Please note that no one introduced "lane keeping" in this thread until your own post #25, no one else has suggested that "lane keeping" needed to be turned off in any of this discussion.
Methinks that everyone else in this discussion has intentionally limited their comments to potential interaction with vehicle sway/stability control systems and understands that's very different from "lane keeping" systems.

You're right. I misread it. Was thrown off by "electronic directional control system" verbiage.
