Bed Liner vs. Andersen Ultimate Gooseneck Mount Hitch

My Toyota Tundra has a bedliner made by WeatherTech. I'm about to have gooseneck mount installed in truck bed for Andersen Ultimate Hitch, No problem cutting a round hole in bed liner to install. Question is when you install the Andersen "pyramid" assembly down on top of the liner is there enough slack to bolt it down? Or do I have to cut a square in the mat where entire assembly can sit directly to truck bed steel surface. Jim

You should have plenty of slack without cutting your liner. After you slide a pin in to lock the Anderson Ultimate frame under the ball in the bed of the truck, you tighten a bolt to press the frame of the ultimate hitch further down (lifting the pin up against the underside of the ball in the bed). I have both a sprayed on Rhino liner and a thick rubber mat under our Anderson Ultimate (in a Dodge 3500) and still have lots of slack.
