Bicycle covers for bikes on the back

We have 2 carbon fiber mountain bikes carried on a double heavy duty 1 Up rack. While we are not fanatics about keeping our bikes clean, we don't like collecting road grunge when towing. We use a Formosa Cover we bought from Amazon 2 years ago. Price now is $120, but it does a great job of protecting 2 bikes on a platform carrier

Mine is similar; I added a netting style bungee type pickup bed spider I wrap around the whole thing to keep it from flapping on the road.

Good idea. I have a spare one of these. I’ll try it over my cover on our next trip.

i had a cheap cover that didn't last a year, it was very thin nylon fabric. the Formosa cover seems much more rugged, but I've not yet actually used it.

We have had the Formosa 2-bike cover for a couple of years now and it has held up very well. Things I like:

- Part that covers the lower wheels is semi-opaque so those behind can see your lower brake lights.
- Drawstring that covers the hitch mount on the carrier. Does a superior job of keeping out any dust. Had a trip in early 2020 (pre-covid) to gulf coast and and both our bike chains looked pristine both there and back.
