Bike transport

I've tried lots of options for hauling bikes, never totally satisfied with the results. We've just acquired ebikes and I'd like to bring them with us. My tow vehicle is an F150 with a 6-1/2' long bed. When we're not camping I use a tailgate pad but with our 5.0 that's obviously not going to work. I've been thinking about the idea of putting the bikes in the front of the bed, perpendicular to the tailgate. Yakima makes a mount that clamps to the top of the side rail (Yakima Bedhead) for about $30 (Amazon). I haven't measure yet...I know the issue is that in a tight turn, the camper is going to come pretty close to the front of the bed. Just wondering if anyone has tried this. I may install them anyway, even if I can't use them with the camper attached.

And one of the bikes would fit behind the front seats in our supercab.
