The concrete ring around the inside of a typical roundabout is designed to handle this load - it's called a truck apron. If an apron cracked under the load of a truck which was legal for the street, either someone messed up the specs or the contractor failed to follow them.

Wise.

Signals are an indication of intent, not a firm promise.

Yes, do not forget that emergency vehicles such as fire trucks will need to probably ride over the curbs as they are too long to navigate the smaller circle.
Anyone here from Detroit? They have some weird traffic where there are no left turns into oncoming traffic, you must exit to right and then cross the road at an intersection where there is a light.

Many of the very small traffic circles are not really designed for the same reasons as larger ones, but more for speed attenuation. We see them popping up on through roads in residential areas here in Calgary to slow traffic, and even persuade drivers to take an alternate route.

Hi: Jim Bennett... As "Traffic calming devices" those circles don't slow some drivers down!!!
Yesterday I washed Escape Hatch II complete with doing the tires. Only found Max. pressure 50 psi. molded into the side wall... No speed rating. Alf

I would have to wait until there is snow on the ground before trying any drift racing and then it would be in my Ram hemi truck... the Mustang will never see snow.

No, back when I used to make the safety video's for our group I had to seek out stuff that would catch their attention. They would have expected that one.
