DSP Hitches

Hi,

I own a DSP 5th wheel hitch. It is built with heavy materials.
Rated for 16,000 pounds. My hitch is 20 years old and the only part to weaken was the return spring. Cost to replace $7.

The hitch is overkill for Escape 5.0 TA. As it was for my previous 21' stick built 5th.

The company is shutting down and still has stock for sale. They have their products on-sale. Hitches of all kinds.

DSP Hitches — Makers of fine trailer and fifth wheel accessories

DSP is located in Edmonton.

I have no vested interest in the Company, just been happy with their product.

A shame to see another long standing North American company cease production. Oh well, another 3 or 4 cheap Chinese knock-offs will take its place.

I think the lightest 5th wheel hitch you can get is 15k, they are all overkill.

Since this is what keeps the trailer attached to the tug, I'll take overkill anyday. Mine is whatever brand ETI's outsource company puts in. I'm happy, works as it's supposed to. Oh, other than that little cotter pin problem I had in February...
