F150 integrated trailer TPMS + rear cam

Posting just FYI, this system applies to certain Gen 14 (2021-2023 model year) F150s, mine is a 2022 Lariat.
  • Not all trucks come from the factory with the required wiring harness; mine did not, so required installation of a Ford replacement harness behind the rear bumper under the truck.
  • Not all trucks have the required "Trailer Tire Info" item on the instrument panel display under the "Towing" menu item (mine did, it's visible before / without any of this installed).
  • The 360-degree cam package is required for the trailer rear view cam.
  • The trailer TPMS+rear view cam kit is a genuine Ford Accessory, which is complete with all items required for the trailer-side of the installation.
  • The TPMS and cam both communicate to the truck via a hard-wire connection (a second umbilical cord) to a Ford proprietary 12-pin connector on the truck
The attached pics
  • Screenshot of TPMS dashboard display showing tire pressure and temperature
  • Screenshot of rear cam image on main 12" dashboard display (my back yard)
  • Pic of the Ford 7+12-pin connector socket I installed in the bed of my truck for convenience with a 5.0 Escape; normally this connector is on the rear bumper of the truck for bumper-pull trailers.
  • All pics are 'fuzzier' than reality because of my inept image size reduction to meet forum posting filesize limits
For detailed info on the parts I used, the installation, and more / better pics, please see this post on an F150 forum. With the exception of the physical mounting of the bedside socket all of the work was 'plug-and-play' (no alteration of OE wiring whatsoever).

Not for everyone, but for me the total integration with the Ford OE displays and low-tire-pressure warning alarms is fantastic - no aftermarket displays, wires, etc.

Wow, nice system. Great safety item and piece of mind traveling down the road.

Yes!!! I'm planning to do this for bumper-pulled trailers on my 2022 XLT. I don't know if I'll get it done before the early-April delivery date of my 21C.

That is really promising. My dealer claims they can get the parts.

That was my thought from the beginning, before I bought this truck, when I saw this capability in the manual.

Besides, my dash area will already be cluttered with other after-market gear (ham radio, etc.).
