Fastway E2 hitch question

Question: For small trips of say the 25 miles to the RV repair place in town to fix the furnace in my new 21NE, do I have to hook up the bars on the E2 Fastway hitch or could I just go without? Any safety issue with using without for a quick trip?

I'll make a guess that you don't have to, if you're traveling light and driving slow.


However, I find that adding the trunion bars once I've hitched to the truck is no big deal, so I would be installing them, if it were my trailer.

There is no safety issue towing without bars assuming the trailer has a decent weight distribution with good tongue weight.
