Feedback on Towing with grand Cherokee

Hi-I’m curious to hear any feedback on towing a 21 with a Grand Cherokee. Mine’s the turbodiesel (240 hp but 420 lb/feet of torque) .
I have towed a 3000 lb boat and trailer(Almost exactly the same length as the 21) and 12 foot Uhauls fully loaded, and in both cases without WDH and with no issues at all. However I’m also aware that neither is a 21 foot escape and therefore looking for feedback.
As an aside, I get better mileage towing my boat with the Grand Cherokee than I did with my previous 2010 Honda Pilot, without towing..

Max 7200 lb, 720 lb tongue weight, WDH required for heavier than 3500 (I think). It has a factory trailer towing package (Trailer towing group IV). It does have auto leveling air suspension, 5 and 7 pin connectors). As far as I can tell the numbers of a 21 all fall within the ratings, but I still wanted to see if there’s anyone experienced with similar.

That all sounds reasonable for a diesel Grand Cherokee, and suitable. It's easier to just look at the manual in most cases... but so I can do that, what year is this Jeep? There have been multiple generations over many years of Grand Cherokees with diesel engines, with various specific limits.

From the HP/torque that would be the current 3L turbodiesel. I recall reading elsewhere, an owner used his JGC to tow an Airstream (26' or 28', I forget which) across the Rockies. I think he got about 19 mpg and said the 8-speed and diesel made easy work of it. Those Airstreams are wider (8') than the Escapes, and it had to be heavier besides.

We tow our 19 with a 2011 Grand Cherokee with the 3.6 V6. This model is before the 8 speed transmission, so it only has the 5 speed and a 5000 lb tow capacity. We have no problems towing the 19 so you should be even better off with your configuration.

Your Grand Cherokee will tow a 21 just fine. The limit you are going to hit first, depending on what you like to carry in the Jeep and how many passengers, will be the payload capacity of the Jeep. That's the primary reason we bought the Canyon to tow our 21 instead of a Grand Cherokee. But we chose the trailer first, then the tow; you don't have that luxury.
