Fuel savings

Calculated my fuel economy for the last tank of gas in the RAV4.

I filled the tank Oct. 12 and today ( Nov. 27 ).

You can save a lot of fuel when you send the kid across the country to Halifax to attend university.

That's city only with lots of idling to stay warm while the Old Bag was in the store shopping ( or likely just reading labels ).

None was towing. 15.5 is usually what I get towing and 11 liters per 100 k when not towing.

Not having the kid here saved me the most since I only drove the RAV4 278 kilometers in six weeks.

That's done. She's home in two weeks for a month.

Gas bill for showers and laundry is lower and the electric bill for the hair dryer, but I don't think it quite makes up for the air fare.

Can't say I miss all the yogurt containers in the fridge.
