Hitch feedback

My new 5.0 is ready, was completed end of January. Was looking forward to the rally in Osoyoos this year, had my orientation set, appointment at Trademasters, reservations at Lynden KOA, Nk'Mip and Bear Creek at Kelowna. Just cancelled all of it, will probably pick up the 5.0 in June-July, sadly missing meeting many of you at the rally.

So now I have time to check out different hitch setups for my new 5.0.
I could probably save a few bucks if I copied this design with 2x4's.

Not sure why they just did not hook it to the roof rack...VW style. After all...the tow vehicles are almost the same colour...that qualifies right.

Save bed space in tow vehicle

Now this one looks good. Should allow for plenty of space in my F-150's bed. Could even put a camper shell on the truck and carry a boat or two...

Trailer & Smoker combined

Don't know what the hitch setup is here, but if you put some hickory smoke juice in the diesel and hung some ribs and a brisket on the side, by the time you cleared Nevada you'd have a tasty meal! Just need some corn bread and potato salad.

You don't even need to make it out of 2x4, just change the king pin to a coupler.

I like that! The aerodynamics look great! Just need a rear deck spoiler/wing to keep the back end under control when over 85mph.
