Oh, those red rubber hoses on the edge of my pin box are to keep from drawing blood each time I bonk my head on the pin box mounting brackets!
Nice job with your "modified female receptacle" Arnie.

Does anyone know how much juice the rear view camera is using when the running lights are left on?

That’s a 1-UP USA super duty bike rack in the folded position. I have the optional license plate holder with integrated tail / break light.

It’s plugged into the optional 4-way plug I ordered as part of my build. It’s one of those items ETI will install, but is not listed on their standard build sheet options.

Thanks, that optional plug is good information. I haven't been paying attention to the Escape website, but it would be good if ETI could create a list of non standard options (I guess then they would become standard options).

And, we'd have nothing to talk about here. Non-standard options are anything a customer can come up with that ETI is willing to do.

True.

I spent a lot of time on this forum prior to ordering, I am glad that I had the time to do that as I got some very good ideas. But at that time and without having previous RVing experience I didn't know what to research, I still struggle with my forum searches. Now a year later I am still coming across some very good ideas that others have had as non-standard options (many of which ETI does on a regular basis).

But we love the 5.0

And we are waiting for the 5.23 (23' plan).

And the benefit of doing the mods again due to having had that previous experience!!

Yes, you surely know!

Does each mod improve on itself with each trailer?

Nope, just takes less time but surprisingly, more effort.

Yes I am grateful to those who have gone before. In our case, we purchased a used 2013 19' Escape and had that for two years before ordering our 2019 5.0 TA new. The prior owner of the 19' (Rich) had already done some excellent mods so we had the benefit of his experience.

We also learned what our camping style was so when we ordered the 5.0, we knew what was most important to us for options. For example, we realized that we only used the microwave for popcorn. So we opted not to get the microwave and got the full oven instead. That has proven to have been a good choice for us.

Now most of my mods are 5.0 specific such as converting the top step for storage.
