Is there a How to video for???

We ordered the Equalizer Hitch (pro-series 600lb Trunion) w Sway Control Bar (pro-series) option for oue E21, to be installed by ETI. WE are looking for a video to help explain this set-up..[especially in light of the travel restrictions being imposed lately]...we may be forced to not cross the border to go thru 'orientation' in late April.

Holly,
I have the E2 sway/weight distributing hitch. Rest easy, it is the easiest RV hitch I have ever used. I have a few item that make it even easier to use but not totally necessary.
1. Power tongue jack
2. https://www.amazon.com/Equal-i-zer-9.../dp/B007HRJNIE
3.https://www.etrailer.com/tv-Demo-Equ...5-01-9430.aspx

Escape will setup your hitch in the parking lot if need be. Installing the frame brackets on my E21 was very quick.

It wasn’t meant to be funny and I don’t know why it did that but I updated the link to my Amazon purchase for the jackets.

Well, we had the anti-sway, friction bar thing on our Casita 17 Indy, ..tho we really didn't need the thing..don't ask how I know ;-) It could not have been simpler, so this new system LOOKS more complicated. If you run across that How to video of the E-21 WD system, please post it. Thx
I have asked the ETI guys, but as yet I have seen no video..and the way things look to be going, we are gonna be on our own..IF we even get to pick up the thing.

The Weight Distribution Hitches are worth the time to set up, and hook up. It makes the ride so smooth. On our Minivan, it allowed us to comfortably tow way beyond what was reasonable (slick RV salesman a long time ago). With my 4Runner, it really took out the bounce. I used one on the Tacoma only for really long trips.

As for the anti sway, I don't think you'll need it with an Escape.

Holly, there is a link on the product page that you click on and the manufacturer, Cequent, explains how to use each component.

Sorry..that video is an ad FOR the rig but not a 'how to' setup the rig. It appeared that it might morph into a 'how to'..but never does. Sorry.

I found this on YouTube. I hope it's useful to you Hollybee. If not, I noticed there were other videos that looked like possibilites. My search words in YouTube were "equal" "izer" and "hitch" (no quote marks). -Tom

Thanks..that may be the best one I've seen yet. ETI messaged us yesterday, saying that they will have the hitch all setup and ready to "just hitch up" when the trailer arrives at Sumas. All need to do is send them height measurements from my truck..
I am thinking I need to send 'unloaded' and also measure after a decent load is aboard the tow vehicle..I am assuming they will set the hitch using an average load for a std '21' I sure hope this works out.

That's good thinking on your part. ETI should have both measurements in case they need them. FYI: when we picked up our 19 at the factory our Tacoma was fully loaded. Reace's father-in-law set the hitch up perfectly. What I'm getting at is there must be a way to do this with a full load. Is it from measurements or experience or both? I've always wondered about this. -Tom

load

Yup, I'm gonna measure the height with the truck empty and then load up about what we carry camping...and re-measure the heights..at both wheel wells and the receiver. Best I can do.

I believe the height for level camping is 19" to top of ball, when loaded. You will need a 2" ball..
