new experience,5th wheel, awning lights, ????

We are learning. We are parked at Bisbee, AZ for 4 days while we explore town again and learn about the new trailer. I discovered I should not blind side park if possible and the awning lights didn't want to work with the remote so I replaced the battery and no help. I poked around when I couldn't find the control box but I discovered the wire entered the trailer in the back and found that the remote worked if located closer to the rear of the trailer.

Hi Jack,
Good to hear you’re out with the new rig. I guess the awning remote is like trying to find the gas cap on a 56 Chevy. Gotta be here someplace.
