Have been towing 17' Casita with "stuff" in the bed and two solo canoes on the cap.
Have not needed a WDH, hauls good even on most hills.
Do have Timbren bumpers to replace the stock units.
We've decided on the 17B, soooo.. I don't anticipate any issues

So you will have around the same towing weight with a lot less hitch weight. That should work out nicely.

Tacoma Tug w/ Escape 19

We have a 2012 V6 Tacoma Prorunner with factory towing package as our first tug with our 2015 Escape 19. Worked Great. traveled through the Rocky Mtns, with no problems. Got between 11 and 14 MPG. No supercharger. May not be necessary. Still have the Tacoma, but upgraded to a Sprinter 2500 diesel, more for my husband's ego than anything else. I use the Tacoma when I go alone. What is the rationale for the Supercharger??

Thanks for the info.
We've decided to go with a 17B.
We'll not have any issues haul'n that.
Supercharger= horsepower= speed(not necessary for hauling a trailer)
Safe travels.
