Another question for MRHM and TahoeJoe.
I just got a truck like both of yours and have been researching rail mounts.
What system did you use to mount the 5th wheel rails in your trucks?

No rails for me...instead I installed the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch (with 4" extender):

Attached to that is the Andersen Ultimate:

It is! By the way this is the place that installed it for me, and they were awesome...I highly recommend them for the work, and they are not too far from you, up in Santa Clarita:

TahoeJoe Thanks so much for the information I have contacted Accurate Trailer Hitches. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Two more question.
What configuration is your truck?
Mine is a Crew cab short bed 4x4
Is the 4" offset ball necessary or does it provide extra space for the tailgate?

Mine is the same...yes the offset helped with the tailgate, but the main reason I got it was to give extra clearance between the trailer and the truck cab, when making very sharp turns. Oh and also, gave some extra clearance for my truck bed cover.

TahoeJoe Thanks again. I just spoke with Sol at Accurate Trailer Hitch. I have an appointment to have the whole system installed tomorrow. Every place else i have checked did not know what they were talking about and said it was out of stock, what a hassle.
Sol at Accurate has everything in stock ready to go. This is awesome! Thanks for all the help.

Anyone need a lightly used Anderson rail mount?

My experience was the same! I live up in Tahoe, and the trailer I wanted was for sale in the L.A. area, and I knew it was a good one at a good price so I was trying to snatch it up quickly. So I drove down there and did the deal, but then I needed to get that install done within a couple days, so that I could hook up the trailer and take it away (the previous owners needed it gone asap). I called around to a bunch of different places and had no luck, until I called Accurate. They got it all installed perfectly the next day, on a Saturday!

OK I'm still processing everything and you have been a great help. But i have two more questions.
What position is your pinbox in Upper Or lower?
Do you have the trailer lift kit?
Thanks again!

Yes the trailer has the lift kit.

I'm actually not sure about your other question, what exactly does that mean, can you elaborate?

One other thing I forgot to mention is that I also had to buy a longer coupler tube...the people I bought from had a different size than what was needed for mine. In my specific case, I had to order the 7 1/8" tube:

The box is the part welded to the frame. The pin is the part sticking out to the hitch.
There are six holes on each side. Lower position uses the 4 bottom holes Like in the picture.
Upper position uses the top 4 holes.
You have to zoom the picture to see it clearly.
Thanks again.

Well, it is in and ready to go! Can't wait to hook up the trailer and get it all dialed in. Thanks for all the help and information. Tahoejoe the referral to Accurate Trailer hitch saved all kinds of headaches. Called Thursday, dropped the truck off Friday at 8:00 it was done at 1:30 all parts in stock and ready to go. It was not "cheap " but it was well worth the expense to " get it right".

Nice, looks great!

Yeah my install wasn't the cheapest either, but it was worth every penny to have it done right, and fast. Reminds me of that old saying, "You can have it fast, you can have it good, you can have it cheap: pick two"

I've put many thousands of miles on mine and have had no issues...I hope yours is the same!

That looks really nice. Much cleaner than my rails. Next truck . . .
