A few years back, there were " becoming an outdoors woman" sessions which featured learning to tow and launch boats, your Michigan DNR hosts these kinds of activities. Perhaps you could contact them or a community college or local RV club or dealer to find out if they offer like programs for towing and setting up trailers. I promoted this as a possible Parks And Recreation program as a revenue source when I was still in the field but like most of my brilliant ideas, I was poo pood. Maybe your parks and Rec dept could be more progressive.

Thanks Dave. Good idea. May also check the community college here. That's where she learned how to ride a motorcycle. Forgot about them.

Hi: GCS... There are few ins and outs of trailer towing. Usually one in when you get to the campground... and one out when you leave.
If I can teach my wife to drive a stick shift... you can do the trailer towing lessons. Alf

I was able to teach her how to drive a stick but that was a looooong time ago. Now she wants lessons for whatever she does. Oh well.

My backing ability is in direct proportion to people watching me. I'm not good under observational stress.....

Good fun for the whole family.

Though set up like a game, this wee reversing challenge is quite accurate it how a trailer responds.

Reminds me of when I got my CDL several years ago. That was an experience.

We rented a small (7 foot box) tent trailer for a trip before buying our travel trailer. I had backed up trailers before, but rarely one that short or narrow (when not turning it wasn't visible in the mirrors or out the rear window of the van), and never into a campsite. On our first night out I got it in place at a campground and leveled up, then looked across the access road to see half a dozen people in the neighboring site sitting around their campfire, arranged to watch me like a movie.
I'm glad that I didn't notice that they were watching earlier.

And the more people that watch, the more nervous you get and the longer it takes and the worse it is and the more beer is consumed afterwards...
