It is legal in Manitoba to double tow so I have contacted a reputable trailer hitch shop about beefing up my hitch. Right now, on my 2015 5.0TA there is a bicycle mount receiver hitch on the bumper. Of course the shop needs to see the trailer to determine what will be required but I plan to take the trailer in this week.
I plan to tow a 16' Lund S-16 with a 30hp outboard. I don't know the exact weight but will take it to the weigh scales beforehand. As for tongue weight, the rig is balanced nicely and I can just lift the tongue myself so I doubt it is near the 150 lbs limit.
On my build sheet I ordered wiring to the rear window so I could power a rearview camera. I'm not sure if I'll instal a camera or just have a friend follow me on a couple test runs to observe what's happening back there.
Hopefully I remember to update here when I'm done.
