Trailer pickup and towing in northwest US

When trying to select and hopefully get a possible 2017 delivery date (and the possibility Escape can move some 2017 dates into late 2016) a question and it may be a silly question to some....

For all of those individuals with experience on the roads/routes and have pulled a trailer thru the northwest states on the way to or from Escape factory... are there certain months because of weather , that one would advise a real novice at pulling an rv trailer to NOT pick up a trailer at Escape?

For example going to and from Texas in a full size pickup TV and towing an Escape 19 (if that makes a difference in your opinion).
Guessing Nov,Dec, Jan, Feb might not be appropriate?
thanks for any advice...

We picked ours up Nov 14 . Rain from Canada to home , California . It changes so no set times . Lots mountain ranges to go through Washington , Oregon , especially on 5 in California ,what is called the grapevine with semi 's in the rain . Check your weather and drive slower , you should be OK . Pat

We picked up over Thanksgiving week last Nov and slipped right through both ways. A week before or a week after wouldn't have been fun. Just leave extra time on marginal months in case you have to hunker down for a day or two.

Our favorite time to travel is right after Labor Day. The weather is perfect and the kids are in school. But if you go in the winter months just pay close attention to the weather forecasts. Just read about a couple in the local paper that was stranded on I 70 for 12 hours last Wednesday. That blizzard was being forecast for a week out and since it wasn't a necessary trip, the whole thing could have been avoided. Loren

There are those who have gone the long way around, west to Southern Califronia and up the coast, and back the same route. Others have waited until May or June to pick up.
