I could not find a sticker in the door frame to tell me what the gross would be.

Hi Jack
Probably blew off in a drag race. Late Forties?

Thanks for posting, I like it, that's a pretty sharp combination of ' rat-rod truck' and shiny aluminum, IMO.
Can't help but suspect the running-gear is appropriate to the task, the rig looks like a labor of love by a person who knows how to Have Fun!

Truck
Dave, you're right, a '48 cab over from a farm field in Montana on an '89 1 ton box van frame that had an engine/cab fire. The original 460 engine built with 70's Lincoln heads and manifolds, big carb and other after market parts. I had to change the front springs to f150 coils since the engine was mid-ship. It would really haul two big Harleys and tow the 25' Airstream. The person that bought it said it rode like a brick, I had to agree.

Truck
I did get a lot of picture takers whenever I rode the bikes up or down the ramp to load or un load them. Never a problem.

I remember you telling me about it but hadn’t see a picture. I saw those hood pulls and knew it was in that date range there somewhere. I was looking for a picture of my 1950 F-1 but couldn’t put my hands on it. My Uncle dealt in hides, fur and wool. He had several prewar straight trucks that I think were Internationals. They certainly had style in those days. My dad was a big fan of Harley Earl designs. We’d see a vintage touring car and he’d immediately name the make and the year and other details.

It's pretty common to build trucks with modern components and little if anything from the original truck, especially COEs like this. It's not surprising, if only because not many people would be happy now hauling much of anything with even the most powerful original engine, which put out 110 horsepower.
I saw one of these - and by that I mean a COE of similar configuration and vintage - on the street last year. It certainly didn't have a vintage powertrain chassis, although that's not visually obvious from a distance. Straight rail ladder frames and live beam axles on leaf springs look pretty much as they did 75 years ago, and the engine is out of sight.
