WDH Installation

How critical is it that the wdh trailer hooks be vertical to the chain end of the bar, so the chain is vertical when hooked up?

I measured and measured, but when I got the new front box I ordered it is very slightly too big. If I shift the wdh hooks forward about an inch it will fit. This will cause a slight angle on the chain when ready to tow. Will this cause any problem?

68 views, no opinions. Guess either it does not matter, or no-one knows.

Will try it and see.

My 2 Cents

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong. (H. L. Mencken)

Complex issue. I had to move my brackets a bit when I installed my cargo box. I never gave it much mind.

Simple answer. So far, no known wrongs.

I would check the manufacturer's install instructions. You might not be getting many responses because a lot of us aren't using a chain type WDH.

I also would recommend checking with the manufacturer as we have the Fastway but Escape installed it.
I do know there was a range of several inches that the brackets could be installed at.
