WDH Plus Anti-sway bar?

Picking up a 2010 Escape 19 this week. It has a double-bar WDH. Is it advisable to add a (anti) sway bar? I've always used one towing my Casita 17 with a single bar WDH.

Thanks for your input. Can't wait to make this upgrade.

Glenn, with a properly loaded 17 and now our 21 I have never had even a hint of sway with an Escape. You will have nearly the identical tow/trailer combination that Dave had and as I recall he too has never had any sway in many thousands of miles. Enjoy that 19'.

Hi: gwolfe@wvi.com I can share your egg citement . You must have shared some Koolade too!!! No one else can pick up a 2019 yet. Sorry I couldn't resist!!!
Try it without the sway bar first... you might be pleasantly surprised. Alf

I would ask, advisable by who? Toyota?

Provided you have adequate tongue weight and proper weight distribution, you won't need an add on anti sway device.

I would start with your highlander's manual. It will have tow info there.
According to my manual sway control and wdh is a requirement. Enlighten yourself on everything that can reduce your tongue weight. You might be surprised.
