Camping Near East Broad Top RR?

We're planning to stop at the East Broad Top tourist railroad in Rockville Furnace, PA, on the way back from our daughter's home in Virginia to our home in Massachusetts. Probably stay one night, or maybe two.

Wondering about both State Parks and private RV parks close by. Internet searches tend to bring in sites all over the region. Looking for recommendations. Shore power would be good, but not essential.

Basically overnight, and we'll be out touring, so park features not important.

Trough Creek State Park would be my pick if I were only visiting East Broad Top. It is a smaller campground located in a quiet wooded valley near the east side of Raystown Lake. It can be reached by taking route 994 west from Orbisonia towards Raystown Lake. If you go, be sure to take the short hike over the swinging bridge and past rainbow falls to the balanced rock

If you have a little more time to spend then Seven Points Campground would be my pick. It is a large COE campground located on the west shore of Raystown Lake near Hesston, PA. They have several camping loops as well as a beach, a marina, and a large visitor center. If you're lucky enough to snag one of the waterfront sites you will be in for a real treat.
A couple of other attractions in the area to consider would be Lincoln Caverns and the Swigart Museum (the oldest automobile museum in America).

Of the many great overlooks in the area, Hawn's overlook is the best for watching the sun set.

Thanks, Kevin, for the great suggestions. At this point it looks like we won't have time to enjoy the highlights, as we have a deadline for getting back home, so we're thinking of just one day at East Broad Top and just need a place to leave the trailer and catch two nights sleep. Looking at a private site called the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill and Family Campground, which is closer to EBT: https://www.historicmillandcamping.com
We'll keep the two campgrounds you mentioned on our bucket list. I want to get back to Horseshoe Curve and Altoona before too long, and they're not far from there.

This sign always gives me pause when I travel route 522 between Burnt Cabins and Orbisonia. Look for it when you're in the area of Shade Gap.

Weird. Is it a scary road?

Not at all. The sign is noting how turbulent things were in the area when it was initially settled.
