Went out to Zion with our daughter who returned to us after a year in UK.. Met Bob & Sue in their 5.0TA at Capitol Reef & again at Horsethief campground at Canyonlands. Upon hearing of the news of Hwy 58 and flash flooding in areas of our normal return we opted to go home via Hwy 50 to Ely then Benton on Hwy 6 then either Tioga Pass or 58 if it is open again. Currently at Great Basin NP and its beautiful. Best part is camping again with Ali...been doing that since way back; just been a while.
Russ, you just missed a good storm here in moab last night. Couple next to us at devils garden in a Minnie winnie lost all there roof vents to quarter sized hail.

We are in Zion NP and we're hiking Monday afternoon and found ourselves in a hail storm with about dime sized hail. Sure does hurt when it hits you. We are also returning Thursday and hope 58 is open by then.
