Grayson Highlands VA
We visited this park for almost a week. Located in the highest mountains of Virginia. Lots of hiking trails from easy to difficult. One highlight is the trail that leads to "wild" ponies that are not so very wild. They are used to visitors. The herds are decendants of a herd of ponies raised by a man who gave them to the state when he could no linger care for them.
The campground was quite full and had a large variety of everything from simple tents to motorhomes. Some of the "tent" structures were complicated to set up and take down. That is one great thing about our 5.0, it takes only minutes to do so. Another 5.0 came in while we were there, folks from Florida. All in all a good destination.
